Quantity: only order 1 invitation per household/couple, not 1 per individual.
Extras: order 5-10 extras in case of last minute additions, returned mail and a few to keep.
Design: select an invitation that reflects the style of your wedding

Important Dates:

When to order invitations: the earlier the better, but typically 6-9 months before the wedding.
When to send invitations: typically 7-10 weeks prior to the wedding
RSVP date: 4-6 weeks before the wedding
